ROCKS Participant Policies
The following policies are outlined for participants of Robotic Orthopaedic Concepts and Knowledge Symposium (ROCKS), September 26 – 28, 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Only persons registered for ROCKS will be admitted to the lectures, exhibits, meals and refreshment breaks. Badges must be worn at all times to gain admittance. Counterfeiting, copying or sharing badges, is expressly prohibited, and doing so may result in removal from the meeting.
By attending and participating in events and activities held during ROCKS 2024, participants grant Current Concepts Institute (and its employees and agents) permission to capture, retain, and utilize the participants’ image, likeness, voice, and actions, whether captured live or recorded, in any format or medium. Any such images, voices or likeness captured during ROCKS may be used for display, exhibition, publication, or reproduction in any medium or context for any purpose, including, but not limited to, commercial or promotional purposes, without further notice, authorization, or compensation.
ROCKS is a private meeting and Current Concepts Institute reserves the right to control meeting space and may, at its sole discretion, remove persons from the meeting who are not registered, who do not meet attendance requirements or who cause disruptions.
Unauthorized recording, reproduction or distribution of content created at or affiliated with ROCKS is prohibited without the prior express written permission of Current Concepts Institute.
Personal information, including the participant’s name, company/institution and email address, is available to ROCKS exhibitors through a lead retrieval system. ROCKS meeting participants may choose to opt out of the distribution of their personal information by not permitting the scanning of his/her badge at the exhibit(s).
Some drugs or medical devices to be demonstrated at ROCKS may have been cleared by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for specific purposes only or have not been cleared by the FDA. The FDA has stated that it is the responsibility of the physician to determine the FDA clearance status of each drug or medical device he/she wishes to use in clinical practice. Any drug or medical device is being used “off label” if the described use is not set forth on the product’s current label. Off-label uses of a drug or medical device may be described at ROCKS so long as the off-label use is also specifically disclosed.
Current Concepts Institute may elect to cancel ROCKS due to circumstances beyond our control, such as disaster, severe weather, pandemic disease, civil commotion or government laws or regulations. In the event of such cancellation, all ROCKS participants will be notified by email at the address provided during registration and registration fees will be refunded in full. All other costs incurred by the participant, including airline or hotel penalties, are the responsibility of the participant.
